TAKMIL is a US-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on one mission: getting out-of-school children in rural Pakistan into education. We started in 2017 with one school and 50 children in Mardan. Today we operate 1,500+ non-formal schools across 420 districts.
We don’t build brick-and-mortar schools. Instead, we bring a portable School-in-a-Box — solar-powered technology, video lessons, and a trained community facilitator — directly into homes, mosques, and community spaces.

HOW IT WORKS
The TAKMIL Model
An accelerated, technology-powered approach that brings education to children who have never been to school — in just 12 to 18 months.
Accelerated Curriculum
Children complete Grades 1–5 in 12 months and Grades 6–8 in 18 months using a multi-age, technology-assisted learning system designed for children who have never attended school.
School-in-a-Box
A portable, solar-powered kit with video lessons, digital assessments, and offline capability. No internet required. No building required. Education anywhere.
Community Infrastructure
Schools operate in existing community spaces — homes, mosques, baithaks — with a trained local facilitator. The community becomes a stakeholder in every child's education.

Primary Literacy
Foundational reading, writing, and numeracy for children aged 5–12 who have never attended school. Grades 1–5 completed in 12 months.
Children Education
Targeted programs to reach the 18.8 million out-of-school children in rural Pakistan without access to education, overcoming cultural and logistical barriers.
Solar Digital Schools
Solar-powered School-in-a-Box kits bringing digital, offline-capable education to communities with no internet or electricity access.
